Whiskey Creek was built late 2019 & finished off in early 2020. With sustainability and eco friendliness being our passion, we have designed a space that opens your eyes into the simple luxury of off grid living.
Our bedroom cabin features a large plush king bed with two large windows to take in your stream view, letting natural light flood in.
A small wood fire sits in the middle of our cabin, ready to warm you on those cool winter nights

From the floor, walls & roof sealed in oil made by The Natural Paint Company, to the deep couples bath lit up with floor standing lights, to the incredible composting toilet - this bathroom is sustainably flawless! Even the toilet paper is made from bamboo!!
If you’re not into the beautiful deep bath, head on out around the corner to our hot outdoor shower. Here you’ll find our idea of rustic beauty - with a view!
Our lights are movable lanterns - You’ll find hooks all around, ready to light up the room.

The Property
Whiskey creek is the second and most recent accommodation to be built on the original ‘The Cowshed’ property. The 30 acre property is set amongst the hills of Waikino & accommodates pet cows, horses, sheep, ducks, chickens and a small home orchard of avocados, apples, peaches, plumbs, nuts and citrus fruit.
We allow only natural seaweed or worm wees fertilizers on our veggie gardens or avocados and only when they are needed. So you know when you come to stay on our property, there are no nasties!
